Round 4
In the 4th round, this is where I believe the Cowboys begin to look for their replacement for Zeke. In the playoff game against the 49ers it became apparent that the Cowboys were sorely missing Pollard more than when they don't have Zeke. Since this offense has evolved beyond smashmouth football so should the personnel. In my opinion, it'd be better to get another back with Pollard's abilities to have an even trade off if they continue to split playing time.
I have ranked these players in their respective pecking order based on who'll fit the Cowboys offense most efficiently. These RBs measurables all come back rather similar, their main differences would be their build and frame.
Roschon Johnson - RB - Texas
- 6'2" ft, 225 lbs, 40-time: 4.32 (unoffical)
Zach Evans - RB - Ole Miss
- 6" ft, 215 lbs, 40-time: 4.42 (unoffical)
Sean Tucker - RB - Syracuse
-
5'10" ft, 215 lbs, 40-time: 4.54 (unoffical)
Round 5
For the 5th round, the Cowboys have been awarded 2 compensatory picks for their losses of Randy Gregory and Connor Williams. This gives the Cowboys a multitude of options to choose from to potentially find a diamond in the rough in the back end of round 5. Given the amount of picks that the Cowboys have and likely bunched together the following players aren't listed in any particular order. They are listed based on the likelihood of being selected in this round.
Chandler Zavala - LG - NC State
- 6'4" ft, 325 lbs, 40-time: 5.28 (unoffical) Bench Press - TBD
Juice Scruggs - IOL - Penn St
- 6'3" ft, 308 lbs, 40-time: 5.10 (unoffical) Bench Press - TBD
Charlie Jones - WR - Purdue
- 6" ft, 188 lbs, 40-time: 4.51 (unoffical)
Jaxson Kirkland - LG/LT - Washington

Rashad Torrence - S - Florida

Jalen Redmond - DI - Oklahoma
-
6'3" ft, 293 lbs, 40-time: 4.6 (unoffical)
Round 6
In the 4th round, this is where I believe the Cowboys begin to look for their replacement for Zeke. In the playoff game against the 49ers it became apparent that the Cowboys were sorely missing Pollard more than when they don't have Zeke. Since this offense has evolved beyond smashmouth football so should the personnel. In my opinion, it'd be better to get another back with Pollard's abilities to have an even trade off if they continue to split playing time.
DeMarrco Hellams - S - Alabama
- 6'1" ft, 213 lbs, 40-time: 4.55 (unoffical)
DJ Dale - DI - Alabama

Aubrey Miller - LB - Jacksonville St
- 6'2" ft, 229 lbs, 40-time: 4.85 (unoffical)
Round 7
Once we make it to the last round, there's still going to be a plenty of players fans all around the league are going to be clamoring for team's to get. Dallas will likely use this round to build depth or take a chance on guys that they feel will be fit their system and can contribute in the future.
Taron Vincent - DI - Ohio St
- 6'2" ft, 305 lbs, 40-time: 4.82 (unoffical) Bench Press: TBD
Max Duggan - QB - TCU
- 6'2" ft, 205 lbs, 40-time: 4.65 (unoffical)
Dorian Thompson-Robinson - QB - UCLA
- 6'1" ft, 191 lbs, 40-time: 4.64 (unoffical)
Final Picks:
Round 4, Roschon Johnson would be an excellent selection in the fourth round. He's got similar traits to Pollard and is a bit bigger than the latter to be helpful on all downs rather than strictly a bruising or receiving back.
Next up in Round 5, the Cowboys will use their three picks to select: Rashad Torrence, a potential Donovan Wilson replacement, Jaxson Kirkland, who's versatility will allow him to play which ever position Tyler Smith doesn't play on the left side, and Charlie Jones, who's projected to be a late round gem at the wide receiver position.
In the closing rounds, starting with round 6, the Cowboys will go back to their line with selecting DJ Dale. To close out their draft in round 7, the Cowboys will choose Max Duggan whom Jerry Jones has already been impressed by.
